I cant use my Live.com email. Dont receive or send help
Reply: There may be three reasons:
1. MSN's installation folder is set to "Read-only" property by some software. You may find the Windows Live installation file, and then set Windows Live and all its subfolders to read-write properties, so that you can solve the problem. Several friends have encountered this problem already.
2. Solve this problem by "Install and Uninstall". Open the Windows Live\Installer folder, and then run wlarp.exe under the folder; select "Install or Uninstall", and then click "Continue"; select only Messenger, while the other is not selected, and then click Continue; Messenger will be installed once again. After the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart the computer (choose not to restart). Close the installation interface, and then open wlarp.exe; select "Install or Uninstall", and click "Continue"; in the "Select the program to install or uninstall" interface, remove the hook in front of "Messenger", and then click "Continue". After uninstalling the newly installed "Messenger", you will find that the Windows Live\Installer folder is empty. Now install the latest MSN version and try it out. If you still get a 0x8000ffff error, please try again as above.
3. If the above two methods do not solve the problem, I suggest you check the computer with a professional anti-virus software. This is common because many viruses like to infect Windows Live's program files to steal personal privacy.
